Adopt a Facade
The facades of buildings are nothing less than the "living room furniture of communities", they belong to the city, therefore to us, to all of us.
We have expanded the "Adopt a Gate" project to the adoption of a facade. Two years ago, we initiated a project to restore 18th - 19th century gates by accredited specialists and with the financial participation of the community, which thus "adopts" them. The goal of the project was to prevent the risk of replacing secular doors in the historic center of Bistrița with laminated wood doors with no heritage value.
In 2023, we restored the facade of a building in the historic area to its original form with the financial support of the Tășuleasa Social Association and the owners. The work was carried out following the principle of "frugality", meaning that we intervened only where absolutely necessary, using traditional techniques and materials.
