Ambulance for Monuments BN

Petrus Italus Trust - Trganization for Bistrița Heritage, is the regional host of the Ambulance for Monuments project. AMB-BN was born in 2022 out of the desire to save the Fortified Church of Vermeș from ruin.

Launched in 2016 by the Monumentum Association, this umbrella project has made 15% of historical monuments in Romania safe through emergency interventions carried out by expert restorers, architects, students, volunteers and craftsmen, with the support of communities and local authorities.

His merits were recognized with the Europa Nostra Award, the most prestigious European distinction on the topic of heritage protection.
