Living Castle 2024

The Posmuș Summer School aims to activate collaborative local development practices by facilitating meetings between citizens, authorities and invited specialists, with the aim of generating relevant social dialogue.

From Tuesday until Saturday, between 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM, children are invited to participate in creative activities for children, including film and dance workshops coordinated by Daniel Iftene and Carla Waltner.

 

On Wednesday, July 31, from 7:00 p.m., locals are invited to a series of guided tours of the Castle. Also on Wednesday, from 8:00 p.m., the event Noi din Posmuș / Noi în Posmuș will take place, with the public invited to an evening of music, dance and good cheer, animated by local dancers, alongside Angel Urs, Călin Dumitrean & Raluca Dumbrăvan.

 

On Friday and Saturday evening, from 9:30 p.m., the organizers invite you to Cineva / Cinema la Castel. On Friday, the documentary film "Vulturii din Țaga" (2022) will be screened, and on Saturday, there will be short films by students of the Faculty of Theater and Film, Babeș-Bolyai University Cluj-Napoca.

 

On Sunday evening, from 7:00 PM, all locals and visitors of Posmuș are invited to the event called Celebration for the little ones / Celebration for the big ones. The participants and workshop facilitators will present their achievements to the public after the 5 days of activities, and from 8:00 PM, there will be a final evening of music and dance, with the participation of Angel Urs, Călin Dumitrean & Raluca Dumbrăvan and the Măgura Șieului Folk Ensemble.

 

The Summer School will also feature specialized conferences and discussions with professionals from the fields of culture, education, economics, sociology, public administration, and business. These are scheduled from 3:00 PM, every day, from Tuesday to Saturday.

An important focus of the Summer School is the component dedicated to Babeș-Bolyai University students who will take part in the cultural intervention process, having the opportunity to put theoretical concepts into practice through interdisciplinary methods.
